The Executive Search Consulting division is staffed by full-time professionals with wide-ranging business experience. We specialize in high-level executive positions, on a retained basis only. We base our success on finding and recruiting top-notch executives who will make a long-term contribution to our client organizations.

 Compass Group has been a member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) since 1988.  The AESC is the worldwide professional association for the retained executive search industry.  Compass consultants adhere to the Professional Practice Guidelines and Code of Ethics established by AESC.

Compass Group was designated one of the “50 Leading Retained Executive Search Firms in North America” by Executive Recruiter News, the industry newsletter.  We are the only Michigan based firm ever named to this prestigious list.  The selection criteria to be honored in this manner include quality, ethics, reputation and contribution to the profession.
 

Executive Interim Management

Compass Group established the Executive Interim Management Division in 1988 to provide our clients with experienced senior-level executives for a limited time, thus avoiding the expense and commitment of permanent employment. Many of these talented interim executives have taken early retirement after successful careers and have a track record of obtaining desirable results for our clients.

Examples of why a client organization might need an interim executive:

• New acquisition
• Sudden illness or death of a key executive
• Unexpected resignation of an executive
• Maintain an operation while business is being prepared for sale

Executive Interim Management Process:

We meet with the Board of Directors or CEO to determine the desired qualifications of the Interim Executive, review timing and discuss the fee structure.

After fully understanding the qualifications of the position, the objectives and responsibilities of the position are then formalized in a written statement that both the client and Compass Group sign.

Compass Group then identifies and seeks client approval of the interim executive who is best suited to handle the assignment. We plan monthly meetings to review the status of the assignment and ensure the client is pleased with the results.

Management Consulting

The Management Consulting division utilizes seasoned industry professionals, frequently on early retirement, to consult on a variety of projects. We have expertise in Strategic Business Planning, Strategic Marketing, Business Relationship Management, Total Quality Management, World Class Manufacturing, Cost Control Systems, Activity Based Costing and Management Control Systems.
Compass Group was named twice to the list of "100 Leading Management Consulting Firms in the U.S. Today", by Consultants News, the industry newsletter. The list includes many prominent international firms. This recognition would not have been possible without the outstanding work provided by our Associate Consultants, and the excellent cooperation of our clients.
